Melanie whimpered. "He was my mate. And is the father of my pups."

"That sums it up nicely." Buck snarled.

"I can't wait." Harli giggled, then coughed up blood.

Layla whined, totally lost about what to do.
Rex wanted to comfort her; he wanted to nuzzle her, and make her feel better, but he wasn't sure that he should. He just stared affectionately at Melanie.

Endigo grinned. "Good." he snickered. "Demons don't go to heaven..."

Jargo's eyes widened. "Are you alright, love?" he asked.

Melanie whimpered, and looked over at Rex. "We can't leave him here." She whispered, her face soaked with tears.

"Harli's gonna make sure you go there too." Buck laughed.

"Yeah," Harli coughed. "Uh!" She groaned.

Stone dodged and slapped at Delano's face angrily.  He'd never seen a dog that delighted in getting hurt, and it terrified him.

Delano's head jerked aside as Stone slapped him, which momentarily caused him to pause. Then, he again lunged at Stone, this time hoping to tackle him to the ground. If a swipe to the shoulder wasn't going to throw Stone off balance, maybe this would!

"Not if I can help it!" Endigo said.

Jargo watched, filled with fear. He hoped like crazy that she would be okay.

Stone ducked as Delano landed on him, then jumped, hoping that Delano would fall and knock some sense into himself.  Or die.  Either way.

Delano took a tumble as a result, but was quickly on his feet again. "No, no, no..." he mock-scolded, lunging forward again. His jaws snapped together in Stone's face, though he purposefully missed to give the dog a surprise. Hoping to blindside him, he instead swung a paw to try and hit Stone hard in the face.
