Rex nuzzled her, then recoiled, feeling ashamed. She wasn't his mate... he looked away. "Sorry." he muttered.

Endigo began advancing, slowly, walking towards Buck. "What are you, anyways?" he snarled. "Do you even have a soul?"

Jargo gasped in surprise. Then he smiled. "It's a sign: our love was meant to be."

Melanie didn't flinch. Instead, she leaned into him, staring at the ground.

"I've wondered that myself sometimes." Buck snickered, and bristled.

"I knew it was." Harli whispered.

Rex turned to leave. "If you aren't going to move, then I'm going to leave you. I don't want to, but you're gonna have to use your own four legs: you have pups, a family to think of, now. I know he wasn't your mate for very long, but in the short time that you knew him, well, those are the moments you're gonna have to cherish, and use to keep your life meaningful." he said.

"Do you want to find out?!" Endigo roared. "Soulless things don't go to heaven!!!" and he leaped at Buck.

Jargo smiled and nuzzled Harli, oblivous to the mayhem brewing a few dens away.

Melanie nodded. She knew it was absolutely true. Right now, she couldn't mourn forever. Life had to go on. She would have her pups any day now. Rising to her feet, she walked over to Rex.

"Sorry bud, maybe Harli won't get to do the honor." He laughed, and lunged at Endigo, the two dogs clashing.

"What do you think our pups would look like?" Harli whispered, then blushed deep red. "Never mind."

Melanie nodded. She knew it was absolutely true. Right now, she couldn't mourn forever. Life had to go on. She would have her pups any day now. Rising to her feet, she walked over to Rex.

Endigo furiously bit at Buck's neck. "Yeah, she wont: I'm getting out of this filthy den, returning to my pack, and leading them into a glorious war! I'm not taking Jargo's crap anymore!" He snarled!

"They'd be beautiful!" Jargo said, smiling.

Endigo furiously bit at Buck's neck. "Yeah, she wont: I'm getting out of this filthy den, returning to my pack, and leading them into a glorious war! I'm not taking Jargo's crap anymore!" He snarled!

"They'd be beautiful!" Jargo said, smiling.

Melanie smiled slightly, then looked down, and trudged along behind him.

"Not if I have anything to say about it! Which I do!" Buck snarled, and punched his paws into Endigo.

Harli blushed more. "Yes, they would have your looks." She smiled timidly.

Rex led her up to his den. "If you like, you can stay here." he said.

Endigo bit down on Buck's neck, and began to sink his teeth in, but got knocked off as Buck's paws hit him all over.

"And yours, too." Jargo smiled.
