Surviving Minnesota!

You tie a go-pro cam to the head of a hen and link it to your internet so you can see what it is doing all day long...If you have a rooster and put it on his head you call it roo-cam...

Gophers have go-cams... etc..

Some people just make things up....So with that in mind what do you think of attaching a camera to your chickens head now??????

My bad....I really should have specified when I asked....I meant like what kind of cam, where did she put it, yada yada yada??? Is it like a nanny cam turned chicken cam , etc....where can I get one, how do I put it up and connect it to my phone, laptop, etc.....

I would love to have one so I could watch it from work and then maybe I wouldn't be pulling my hair out waiting for the clock to strike "quitin' time"

That is cool! I want to do that! Dunno how I'll attach it or if one will let me.

Super cool!! I'd love to see where my girls are hiding their eggs!

A friend introduced me to sushi about 8 years ago and I have been eating it ever since.  I have never been over seas but hope to get to Germany and England some day before I die. :(

I have an opportunity to get some scrap 2" rigid insulation...was wondering if I could build a next box system that is insulated on 5 sides (with the front open of course) do you think that could help the eggs from freezing in the winter or is it a moot point because of the front being open?

Gave the chickens a bucket of grubs I dug out of my garden the other day....WOW what a party that was!!  The whole chasing each other thing and stealing the bugs is a hoot!!

LOL we call that chicken football here!

I just collect every hour or two in winter with a completely unheated coop.
I do get a couple frozen ones, but not as many as you'd think.

I'm curious how people with 9-5 work handle that? I've seen little nest box heating pads somewhere.

I don't think insulation would hurt any. If they can peck at it, they will eat that foam board insulation. Probably the silver bubble wrap, too. So try to construct it in a way that the insulation is sandwiched/protected from curious beaks. :)
