Surviving Minnesota!

It looks like another cloudy day so far.

Guineas should hatch today. I really hope Ethel's do so she breaks her broodiness. The other turkey hen I have setting should be hatching soon if she has not all ready. I have a terrible fear she was hatching during that terrible downpour the other night and all her poults drowned in the eggs..... (fingers crossed)

If that happened I need to sneak some eggs under her that are hatching soon. This will not be an easy job, she hates me when she is not broody. She is high strung and goes ape poop at the top of a hat. Putting eggs under her could be dangerous, I better have Judy do it.

Good Morning - hope everyone is doing well. It won't be cloudy all day Ralphie. Just this a.m. and then the sun comes out and it is suppose to be gorgeous.

Happy Father's Day weekend is coming up. I hope all you fathers and wanna be fathers have a good Sunday and get spoiled. Spoil your father if he still walks on this earth.

Nothing to say at the moment. Too busy. I Love Layers - did you isolate those new roos from the flock for a week before putting them together?

Was this one of "Amy"s eggs?

I am afraid with the deluges of rain we have had some of my poults drowned in the shell. I fully expect to find them half eaten and looking semni-hatched

Cocoa is the hen sitting on eggs. Amy's chicks are 8 weeks old now.
Cocoa was a fabulous mom last year, I hope the chick she ate was dead or deformed and that's why she ate it. She is in her own area no others can get to her nest.

Ahh... Now I understand more..

I get confused, I can barely keep track of my own chickens and their names let alone everyone else's.

Good Morning all..... @erlibrd sorry to hear about your dead chick

@duluthralphie hope you have better luck with yours.

I was just wondering if anyone could possibly tell me what that big orange ball in the sky might be?????? And the sky is this unusual shade of bright blue???? Any ideas???

Can't see an orange ball in the sky here, it's still cloudy.
