Surviving Minnesota!

BT - did she come home???? Anxiously waiting to hear.

Good morning.

I asked my DH for one of his allergy pills Thursday night. I did not want to get out of bed and travel down two flights of stairs to get mine. BAD IDEA. His pills are Loradadine. They simply must have some codine or morphine in them. Bad, bad, bad. So I was down and out allllllll day yesterday. Finally! I got up this a.m. and feeling back to normal. Gotta make up for lost time now. \\

NO!! My first post was hours ago....... 7:40 AM will never really beat me!

Loretta Lynn is missing, Dixie was sitting in the coop. Still bick bicking away. So she's still broody at 5 weeks 2 days from hatch. We had a strong storm cell from 10-12 today. All I can think is that she got lost in the chaos of that and turned around. Dixie saw me looking around in and out of the broody coop. She came out of the big coop and sat in her nest. I told her I had to lock her in for her own safety-- can't leave the door ajar for Loretta.

My hope is she comes trapsing back tomorrow like my sister's bird did. ....fingers crossed.

Did she come home????? Fingers (and toes) are crossed

Good morning all! Sun is still shining......for now.

Just woke up. I can hear the 186 Hydro IH running and I'm thinking what is my dad doing?
He can't cut cause the cutter bar is broken and the new one hasn't come in.
I'm sitting here thinking then I remember, Oh!!
We're supposed to be at Chuck's to brand in one hour..

My new purple raspberry . Suspected parents Royalty and Jewel . They are growing next to each other . So the bees did the crossing and the birds planted the seed .

Ralphie on blackberries it is usually shade that ruins a patch . You can start a new patch from root pieces .

How much shade? This patch is on a south Slope in the open. but it would get some late afternoon shade.

Did you see my question to you on this post?

Do you think those are CLB chicks or did someone get sold a bill of goods?

(It is so good to have you back so I can pick your brain)..

A little shade is good and a lot is bad .

On the chicks it is hard to say . I get that color in the EE autosexing . I suspect wheaten on those . In any case selection for correct chick color is a must .
