Surviving Minnesota!

I joined in with the stupid people this weekend, played a drinking game with in laws and ended up sick for two days after. Don't ever drink Fireball, it will poison you.

Hello chickeners! Well, the Keurig needed to be rebooted because of the storms and now it won't brew - again. I have decided, grumpily, to go purchase a stove-top perculator and make coffee the good, old-fashion way. I will go to do that TODAY. Need coffee! Using a little four-cup tin coffee-maker on the stove top that is over 40 years old and from the camping days with young kids in tow. Oh those are happy memories.

Also going to put the pieces together for my tractor coop for a two-nesting box to add to the side of the coop and then replace the top with a hinged-top - piece of weather-proof cement board so it is accessible for cleaning. Moving on with that coop. It will be so darn cute when I am done with it. Inch-by-inch.

Erli: our two minutes of rain was much needed...but needed more. That's for sure. I am not a cinnamon drink -fake candy type person so I will be forever safe from fireball. yuck. I love cinnamon rolls just not red hots or big red gum...you know what I mean.

Hi Jerry! We need you to come over to our place and fix a few things after you get done over there. LOL. Might be next trip I bet...Ha! Love the new additions. I do not mind the lack of cheeks on the one. It helps me distinguish between the two. She also has some cuckoo on the tip of her tail and a bit in the wing feathers. I'm excited about her actually. They are losing some of their adolescent feathers I see and some maybe big girl feathers are coming in...? The little lav has cheek sprouts coming in. Gosh is she cute. She sticks out in color a bit more...I hope to keep her safe around here with her brightness. The girls were back in their pen when I came back out in the garage. Perhaps the big hens being a bit bossy with them. So I took them down to my quiet summer coop so they know that will be their home. Should have done that in the first place. Let them explore those digs a bit.

Ivie you crack me up. I've been eyeballing french presses on Amazon. I wonder if it would make the coffee taste better.

Well it's a gorgeous day out there...but I am forever working today....crap. Want garden/chicken time.
