We also had bunnies as children and thought they were pets so we named them. Then they became food on our table.
Good Morning peoples.
Morning..
I had a poor and under privileged childhood. I was not allowed to own rabbits or horses. I was forced to work for no compensation on the farm. I had to get up early and wash cow teats, which we did not pronounce "teats"
We were allowed to call one of the pigs our pet, but we had to eat here anyways.
I would have much rather had a pet bunny.
Now that you're all growed up you can have a bunny.
Really?
While I like the idea, I doubt it would be wise for me to have a bunny. I would not know how to properly take care of it. Read up on it. What would I feed it? Pellets in fertilizer out. Who would clean it's cage? Ralphie would. Would I need to get rabies shots incase it bites me? You should get your rabies shots every year regardless of having bunnies.
Would they chase the wild bunnies away? I dunno. Are you willing to come down and help me 4-5 days a week take care of this bunny? No.
Does anyone here have button quail or know anything about them?
