Some baby market bunnies. They will be about 10-14 pounds when full grown

The mom of the bunnies

A 3 month old market weighing maybe 6 pounds

The dad. He must weigh 16 pounds right now

I'm really liking the cross though, the mom adds in a longer back which allows for more meat around the ribs and back in general. The dad is just thick overall

Can't wait to take some to sales next spring and see what the go for! Usually they go for $80 in the spring and over $100 in the fall

Wow rabbits never bring those prices here. I used to cross Flemish Giants with Champagne D'Argent for meat rabbits .

For mutt rabbits? You're lucky to get $15 for a mutt here. I thought about raising rabbits but it never happened. But that's fine with me I guess. More money to spend on birds

Yeah there's some hill billys that butcher some for the winter. And people seem to like the red eyed whites, usually half of the offspring is red eyed white.

I had a cousin that crossed white Flemish giants with New Zealand whites . Sold lots of them for meat . I always like more color in mine . The sandy Flemish x Champagne made a nice frosted sandy look .

Ralphie, I am sure you are glad to have Judy home. Almost as glad as she is to be there. Good luck in keeping her under wraps so she is not exposed to any bacterial infections.

erlibird, you are unlikely to see the coyote during day light hours unless you are unarmed. That is just the way it seems to go. I have been attempting to dispatch with a varmint of another sort for a week, and the only time I would get a good shot is when my hands are full of something other than a gun. I was able to eliminate his dimwitted brother but that is of little consequence.

Yep, I am glad she is home. But I did think she would forget how to "nag" with having been gone that long. I was wrong.

I thought it was only me that never see what I need to kill when I have a gun. As soon as I don't the blame things are everywhere. I went out at 6 this morning to give some rodents a ride on the happy hunting ground taxi. Not one of them anywhere. So I went mushroom hunting..
