Surviving Minnesota!

Any idea what any of those are? Are they edible?  You should post them on the mushroom thread.  ONE AT A TIME.. no like someone else in this room does it.....(not meaning to single out any one person, BC)

No idea on what kind just thought I'd join in on the mushroom pictures. the bottom round white one is actually a picture on the bottom it sat right on the ground and really had no stem to speak of just that small brown spot you see in the picture.

Morning . Try this again . Puter shutdown for updates while typing . Found the mushroom thread and subscribed . Late to the discussion .

On chipmunks . I caught one by accident recently in a dog proof Z trap I set for coon . Stuck his head in there to get bait .

Really bummed out in my efforts to buy a spare rim for my flatbed trailer . This is day three . Seems I have a rare beast . 5 x 5 bolt pattern . TSC sold me a 5 x 4.75 pattern yesterday . Did not fit . Farm and Fleet can not order them . No longer available . So try again today .

Our putors must be related..Stupid things.

That cockerel you have a picture of is 100% Welsummer, so I don't know what could have happened with the color. There are some Wellies cockerels that have heavier eye color and can look borderline, but after you sex a couple hundred you start seeing other differences. He is gorgeous, I am telling you!!! If you want a NH, I would swap you! LOL
THat top chick in these two pictures doesn't even look right for a NH, too much red in the neck, NH are all buff colored. That looks more like a Buckeye, actually.

Well when they sorted chicks then something went awry with keeping track of Roger Junior. LOL. So weird. Shannon is pretty on top of it with those chicks. Will be interesting to hear back from her. I'm the better for it. I took that chick with mixed feelings anyways. The kids wanted Rogers chick...so I went for the barnyard 'mix'. Luck is on my side and the kids are none the wiser. Just like their mother was. I googled Welsummer Cockerels last night after your post. I feel really stupid. LOL. Sure enough that boy is looking like a gorgeous Wellie.

Totally agree on the direction the one ton pick up needs to roll. And I am wondering if just one roll with a one tone will work instead of two rolls. What the heck, I can always hop back in the truck and roll again if need be. BC had a great idea about rendering that fat for soap. I wonder about how many chippies it would take to get a cup of fat to render and I wonder if the one ton would be a little heavy to have any residue fat. What do you think?

Up and out the door right away this morning to clean the coops, supplement sand and dirt, make sure the waters and the feeders were full. The girls are purring. So very happy.

Goin up to Aitkin with the DH - cept I will drive my vehicle so I make sure I make it up there and back. Watch out 169 because the DH will be driving up this afternoon. Its just a little under two hours from our driveway to that driveway. He is meeting the excavator at 4:00 to discuss the work that needs to be done.

Have a great weekend all chickeners. Saturday will be okay weather and Sunday will be gorgeous. I will have my computer with for various reasons so that means I will lurk. Forget about the have a great weekend. I will great you during the weekend.
