I have a twin sister to the blue one at the top! She is GORGEOUS!!
I am jealous of your Wellie boy! He may be the best one that came out this year!!! Look at the breast on him! I am curious if he has any white in his wings or tail feathers other than the fluff at the base, when he gets all feathered out.

Thank you Minnie. Those fine Ameraucanas are from Jerryse. Top one is Miss Kitty with the cheeks, Then there's Hattie and then Mini Pearl. LOL. Hattie is the ring leader in that group and Junior likes hanging out with them.

Patsy Cline and June Carter tag along too.

Okay. I was sure that Junior was actually NH over BLRW. (Roger's boy from Lucy) But his coloring is VERY much Welsummer! Do you suppose Shannon did not get me Roger Junior?! LOL. His underfluff is all gray--Like Momma. There's no white on him. That duckwing on him is amazing. He's gangly and still working out his feathering and disposition. The old hens are teaching him manners. I'm texting Shannon to see about some of the other chicks. I think all the Wellies that hatched were hens...?

RJ was first out in the incubator (hybrid vigor we suspected) and we kept track of him....

I did not think of that! I have a dehydrator. Hmmmm. . . it could be a real challenge to get them pinned down so they flatten nicely. I suppose pinning them to a board and that way the inards would be an easy clean up to. It would fall right off the boards thereby leaving just the skins to be split and then cleaned and then into the dehydrator. The inserts in the dehydrator would clean up really good afterward so I could finish drying the herbs from the garden.

And you could scrape any chipmunk fat, render it down for soap!
