No that's a different one. This one produces quite a bit of milk. They have a son who loves poultry so he might be joining the site and thread soon

We ended up taking a buff orpington and a barred rock to blessing of the animals. They were so good. The k id's held them and they didn't squawk a bit. Perfectly quiet. (Might hav3 been because of timing.....7pm.)

MNChickMom looks like the kids were the popular ones with the chickens.

for the blessing.

Got the kids off to school. VB game tonight and then important football game tonight away in a neighboring town. I think we'll go.

Mother Nature turned down the thermostat last night! Brrr. But felt good sleeping. We didn't turn on the heat. House is cool and we slept like babies.

Junior is crowing a beautiful crow this morning I think he has all the kinks out of it. Lol.

This morning He had a show down with the buckeye hen. Lol. They went at it hackle feathers up and non-spurred legs up and jumping at each other. He's almost got her but she out weighs him and has a hangry disposition, more experience. So he eventually backed down. Kind of funny. I'm hoping he'll learn manners from those older hens. Today he went to the feed bowl and wouldn't let anybody eat with him. I don't like that. Roos should let hens eat with them or even before them.

Good Day Chickeners. Been busy, of course. Is there any other way to be? VERY CONCERNED about Judy and Ralphie! Where has he been? What is happening with Judy? Ugh!
