What page are the appletinii's on in the SOP. I thought I had marked them. I know the silver laced ones like I have are not SOP at this time. I was just wondering what the other varieties are.


White and Buff Chanticlers would be fine, if I have enough breeding pages and Judy does not smoother me while I sleep for getting them.

I had questioned whether they were APA recognized or not earlier, but hadn't checked. I did just check my brand spanking new SOP and they are not in it. They would be listed as Continental, and I don't see them in there, my friend. You could still show them like you do the CLBs as Not Recognized Variety.

I think it was my Yokohama's that I missed the APA variety with. I have silver duckwing and red and gold are the only recognized variety. The Silver look way cooler though with the black and white penciling. Same as my Silver spangled appletiniis'. They are so cool. I was thinking of bringing two of each of them to New Ulm, just because that are so different. They are LF but not a lot bigger than Bantams.

Ralphie, as Minnie reported the Appenzeller Spitzhaubens are not recognized by the APA. There is a breed club that may be working on getting them approved, but I don't know if that is the case.

Which explains why I did not find them. They are cool birds though, regardless if they are APA or not.


I just came in from talking to mine. They did not have much new to say, but they always enjoy the conversation.


The Appenzeller Spitzhauben club should be working on a shorter name I have a chance of pronouncing. Like Appletinii Spritzers.

I went onto Face Book this morning to find some friends from a prior life and I did accomplish that. One of them just had twin grandbabies in June. Very cool. Other than that - what a waste of time! I don't care what other people do - of course I don't. I just don't see the value in Face Book. NOT like our thread - which developes into some kind of relationships - some of us are meeting and making relationships with others of us. There is useful information and there is support for one another in raising chickens.

The political stuff! I pray diligently for this country - this is the best that we can come up with? It is scary.
