Surviving Minnesota!

Morning . Well I cut firewood all day yesterday . I had a extra bar and chain along in case I got stuck .Well I did get stuck eventually . So I put the new Forrester brand bar and chain on . That is all I could find that fit when I ordered . Nothing local fit so I bought online . Wow did that cut but then it was new . I put it to the test for the next 3 hours still cutting like new . Darkness made me quit . I flush cut some stumps so I can mow over them with the tractor . Cut some hedge (Osage Orange ) even rip cut some large stump pieces . Semi chisel tooth which you seldom see in 20 inch . Chisel usually cuts better . Not sure what the difference is but I was impressed .

Good morning Chickeners . . . . I am sure that there is a book to read on here and I am not going to read it so I hope everyone is doing fine. Anyone want to catch me up on the highlights?

Good morning everybody!

I just saw the funniest thing! i walked out to the coop with a spotlight just to see the birdies and when I got out there a Buckeye was running around and I thought what the heck? So Ilet her be and went to the nest box and as soon as I shined the light on the nestboxes the Buckeye ran over and flew up there and in the middle of her little hop/fly an egg dropped from her lol! She must have really had to lay! She was looking all over the nest box for her egg! So at least I know they are laying!

Good to see you're back Lvie!

Nothing like a fresh chain. You are right, it's hard to find 20" chains local. Had to settle for 18" last time I was in a bind. I've got several stumps I need to flush cut from cutting trees this year. One right next to the drive I need to have ground. I flush cut it and still worry I could clip it with the plow.
