Surviving Minnesota!

I've spent the last hour just trying to post on here.  Every time there is a video ad on the top of the page, this box simply doesn't work.  Frustrating!

Holm - If you watch Ebay, you can pick up that same 1502 GQF Sportsman for under $500 shipped.  The egg trays will cost extra of course and that guy's didn't even have the bucket system that sits above so you don't have to add water daily.  His price is what you can pick up a brand new model for (maybe even higher if you watch for deals).  If you really want hatching capacity, I'll sell my 600 egg capacity Leahy Redwood.

Lol no I don't want Brahmas...  We had some from Mark Peterson.  Gorgeous birds, but ate like horses, required LOT  space, and weren't productive at all.  Ma has about 15 of her standard cochins to breed from this spring to carry on that tradition....

I'll PM you about the Leahy Redwood.

Does she breed show quality Cochins?

Ugh.. Also looking for incubators right now... There's a 1/20 chance I might win a 1502 GQF sportsman

As long as ralphie is starting 'Confessions of a chicken rancher'....

I scraped poop boards tonight for the first time in a while. 2 whole wheelbarrow loads. I have been slacking on keeping up with that...

Don't worry I only clean mine about 3 times a year. But mine is really big so it only gets about 3-4 inches deep. And I sprinkle wood chips in there every other weeks to help with moistures and smell.

it was 4" deep or so and i dont put anything on it bedding wise. it is sealed wood so it scrapes off nicely. my roost space is maxed out. in fact i really should add some more but they do ok. that would give them room to spread if they wanted.

I am almost out of room on my roosts... But I have another coop and roosts I can add to this one if I need them
