Good morning all. Plans are to do some more house cleaning for Christmas. Some work at the job. I probably should depoop a coop before the snow comes as well.

MNChickMom I would be interested in some of those BOs if you get them going next spring.

Erli. I did notice the day was longer yesterday.

I love when December 21st gets over itself.

The living room smells like a new couch. Mmmm. Delivery of ottoman at 10:00.

Good morning all! Headed to the cities to look at a truck to replace my busted plow truck. Hopefully this weather isn't as crappy as it could be

Good morning chickeners . . . .  I bet alot has happened on here unless each of you is as busy preparing for this joyous season and have not taken the time to post. We begin all the family celebrations tonight so that means that the remainder of the weekend is swamped with activity.

I wanted to tell each of you Merry Christmas and may it be safe and many blessings for you as you gather with those you care about.

Had 4 cords of wood cut yesterday that needed to be stacked in the woodshed today by the kids. They got it down in 2 hours. The stipulations were that if the worked together and no one came in to tattle they could open one present when they came in. Worked well! Now they are off to check the snare line with Dad. One on his own snowmobile and the other riding with Dad. Three others in the house busy doing all the right things. We have some pretty awesome kids!

Mom of many, that is quite a lot of firewood. How much will you normally burn in a year ? Bribery as a motivational tool ! It seems like something which Ralphie might employ ?

I have had pullets in previous years that seemed to lay eggs all winter, but this year that is not happening. I think it is in part due to the Global Clouding, as there are less days with sun shine than in years past ? I think it has something to do with the activities of the Tree Huggers and Environmentalists ?

Cows poured out in the sheltered pasture. Cochins cages cleaned, have to go catch 2 of them now. Worked with jersey calf, brushed the horses. Now I've gotta put hay in the thatches.
Might go cut some firewood too. Not sure yet.

I'm home... empty handed. the truck was a no-go Thanks @duluthralphie for the tip... glad to get your number back in my phonebook. i had to rebuild on my new phone. I wish i had that kind of spare cash

The roads down here are getting gross. drove up in the rain, back in the snow. real slick.

Did a little bit of off roading on the edge of town. truck didnt want to take the corner and was headed for the curb. i squared up and powered over. last thing i wanted to do was hit sideways and bend a rim or thrash my suspension. 4wd did its thing and i took a loop back up onto the road.

Now for a little down time with my poochies before we spend the evening at the inlaws. should be good food (ive got some baking to do yet today) and lots of gifts. MIL usually goes all out for christmas. I've always been a shy gift receiver so its usually an interesting night.

This could be because her and I are related through marriage.....

I am so glad to hear others saying this, I am perplexed as to why I have no eggs. I got 4 eggs today, 1 PC, 1 toad and 2 Legbars.

My Cookies and Chips are has been now. I thought I would haul the feed in buckets instead of starting the 4 wheeler or truck.....Big Mistake..
