Spent about the last 3 hours snowmobiling and sledding.
I've figured out why my egg numbers are so bad. A start calico has been eating them,
caught her red handed.

Ralphie. I just saw some of your posts on the Cream Legbar thread. Your coop doesn't look like ita insulated. Have you ever thought of doing thatches?

Had 4 cords of wood cut yesterday that needed to be stacked in the woodshed today by the kids. They got it down in 2 hours. The stipulations were that if the worked together and no one came in to tattle they could open one present when they came in. Worked well! Now they are off to check the snare line with Dad. One on his own snowmobile and the other riding with Dad. Three others in the house busy doing all the right things. We have some pretty awesome kids!

My dad just says no heat in your room

We don't have a furnace just the fireplace and some heated ceiling fans. So he will take away the fan remote

It is not insulated. I will not insulate it. I do not want to deal with more moisture. If I insulate then vent for air flow, I might as well not insulate.

That's why I recommended thatches. That's what I use. My coop is almost dry with the thatches

Lots of family stuff has been going on and just couldn't catch up and join back in over the last few weeks.

My mom was supposed to be back 2 hours ago. My grandparents 1/2 an hour ago. I didn't remember if I closed the coop so I drove down. Saw headlights about 2 miles away. Hopefully that's someone

Mom of many, that is quite a lot of firewood.  How much will you normally burn in a year ?  Bribery as a motivational tool !  It seems like something which Ralphie might employ ?

I have had pullets in previous years that seemed to lay eggs all winter, but this year that is not happening.  I think it is in part due to the Global Clouding, as there are less days with sun shine than in years past ?  I think it has something to do with the activities of the Tree Huggers and Environmentalists ?

We burn between 12 and 16 cord depending on the weather. We heat our home,garage, and two shops with it.
