I got an immediate Phishing ransomware thing, I had to reboot and let PCMatic clean my putor.

MY Chickens love me, I got 3 eating eggs today, 2 blue and one green..

In addition I got:

1 toad egg
2 PC eggs
4 CLB eggs
2 Yokohama eggs

For hatching.

Also becareful it is glaze ice from the house to the barn. I was afraid I was going to slip and break the eggs its that bad.

The Pole Barn is extremely moist inside, so I gave Cuddles another heat source, his waddles and comb are damp and I want to save them. (only a 150w bulb).

If you need to drive home think of staying where you are.

Merry Christmas all!

Bantiesrule I checked on this when I was going to take MrT into my flock. I needed to get Permission from Dr Voss and she wanted to know the reason I wanted a bird from a non-Wegby flock (NPIP.

I then had to test him before I could bring him in, which with turkeys is more of a pain than chickens because I needed to wait for the lab blood test and not just the rapid whole blood test.

Then if he was negative I could bring him in an quarantine him for 30 days, then I needed to test him again. Then bringing him in. That is the same procedure for chickens, I just got a letter from Dr Voss "reminding" me permission is needed before starting the process each year. I assume this was because I never brought Mr T into my flock.

My guess is she just has a direct line from the return desk to the incinerator. I am thinking I might have to implement this same return policy, Charge more or offer "rooster" insurance or something, take them back with a smiling face and kill them the second they leave the drive.

I had just recently checked on this again, I am a stickler for rules and regulations, because MnchickMom has that one rooster and I thought I might need to borrow it for its sperm. I was told I had to go through the whole thing all over again, even if it came from my flock to start with. She emphasized the need prior approval and the reason for it. I am not sure the reason I gave for wanting the PITA sperm was good enough.

I know not everyone tries to follow all the rules to the T, but I really do try, I guess it is a by-product of my career choice or my childhood where I was taught to follow all the rules.. I dunno,

Anyways long answer, like always to a simple question. remark. I just type way too much, also.
Maybe I was just thinking of going from one NPIP flock to another...I tend to get confused alot lately.

Big ice storm right now. Expecting power to go sometime everything is coated in at least an inch here. The birds are all set for at least 24 hours. I'll check on them this evening with my awesome camera.

Dakota, milk cow, got to go in the barn. She was miserable outside, I guess that's what 5 previous generations of living in a barn your whole life does to one.

It was a sad Christmas for me, my male rat Ryker had a stroke this afternoon and just passed away about an hour and a half ago. I was so excited to get my new fish tank set up only to have one of my best furry friends leave me.

Everything here has a nice layer of ice on it. My parents and sisters went home and my uncle is driving back to brainerd cuz he has to work in the morning... Roads are nasty from Wadena to Brainerd....

Merry Christmas all. Today, we abandoned all Christmas travel when we found out they closed 94 for a brief period by St. Joe. My parents were very understanding. We enjoyed christmas movies, presents, a nap and searching for the drone my son thought he should fly outside today.

I have been contemplating becoming npip certified or at least certified to do the state required testing for our 4h. Can someone give me an idea how much of my already minimal time I will be investing? I know they are 2 separate credentials but if it is just as much time I might just as well become npip. Presently,we are not hatching eggs but eventually, we may try.

Who is Matt Lauer?

You better give me Judy's number so I'd be sure not to tell her what you don't want her to know.

Yeah the weather is not good for travel, rain sleet etc. yuck!

Blizzard started a few hours back. I94 is shut down Montana to Jamestown, except in Bismarck and Dickinson. Every county is saying no travel. No power in Dickinson and Fairfield hoping we stay with power.
