Surviving Minnesota!

When I got home I let them out for a bit. Snow melted under the pine trees. While I stood down there a trumpeter swan pair flew right over us and the coop. They were beautiful. Not fast enough with the camera for that though.

Trumpeter swans are beautiful, but wow, the flapping noise that they make when they fly 10 feet above your head, wow, they really move some air!

Morning all.

I might have all my turkeys this morning or I might not. I was in the pole barn cleaning until way after dark and they decided to roost wherever they wanted. It is only JJ and 4 other Toms and one beady eyed hen outside, the rest are in breeding pens.

I checked the turkey eggs in the incubators and they are not developing. I kind of thought ti was too early for them.

Good Morning Chickeners . . . . I have been down in the my basement playing office. The past two days have been grandma daycare and I am SO GLAD to be in my own home today. Its funny to me how much I miss my grandchildren until I spend some concentrated time with them. Visits are never long enough. Daycare is never short enough.
