Surviving Minnesota!

Oh my gosh Emorical! This is beautiful!

We had a thunder lightning and lots of rain here a week or less ago.

Oh I forgot to tell you that egg you gen had that was screwy is called a Lash egg I believe. I read about it awhile back.

Thank you, thank you! I shall do a little more research on it!
Ps, being a retired professional photographer, I would be willing to give out a few lessons....in replace for a chicken or two.....

Photography is my 2nd hobby! I would love that!

Guess who has chicks hatching! Ralphie some of your eggs have started! I picked up a new incubator yesterday cuz my wafer went to shoot in my other right when eggs were ready for lock down! But I got temps and humidity running perfect in an old Styrobator. I think I have perfected the art of running these things. I haven't had any heat spikes except for when my wafer went out on the old one and I have managed to keep the humidity perfect.

I made a new waterer today. I love these cups... The Orps are still in their big kennel but are let out once a day for dust baths and exercise.

ETA I dusted the Orps and Cochins today... What a chore:p I also broke the lid of the water bucket so put a cardboard lid on it till I can get a new one.

Ok this is my last post of pics I swear.

At the beginning of our warm weather I moved my 4 3-1/2 week old chicks out to the coop. I am happy to say they are still alive and were outside today in 20 some degrees and love it.

And my two pullets who were both bred by my roosters today. I imagine they will start laying soon.
