Surviving Minnesota!

Morning all.

6 more Guineas leaving today. I will be down to the whiteish one, Purple one and a pearl. Almost Guinea free. I am going to miss the little buggers. I wish me neighbor was a more responsible chicken owner, so I did not have to be....

LOL - I am glad you found it and it is a geranium. Just a little water and some kind of a pot - even a coffee can, which could be esty cool. Its to cheer Judy up. I feel bad she is in so much pain. What are you cooking her for meals?

And how are you doing? Taking good care of a recovering surgical patient can be demanding.

Good Morning Chickeners . . . . worked all day yesterday on one of the coops that needs to be upgraded. Still need to paint it purty. I am thinking of making a nice waterproof cover on the run of some fabric with a ruffle around it - small run. I will post pictures when it gets to the decent state of presentation.

The the DDIL called and while we were talking she invited me down (Shakopee) for ribs and cheesy potatoes and a campfire. One of my friends from church stopped by and we had a glass of wine in the back yard and watched the river. So that delayed my leaving and I had to shower after messing with chicken doo while doing the coop. Anyway, delicious and fun. Grandkids were there and half the neighborhood. This is the couple that have lived together for five years and just got married. They act like they just got married. So cute! I told them if they did not knock it off I was going to gag. They laugh.

Today is another DDIL and that family. Their 13 year old plays a trumpet and has a musical retreat (whatever it is called) in Zimmerman and then everyone gathers for a concert at 3:00. She has to drop him off around 9:00 and then she and I are going to play in the Antique and Boutique shops around the area. She just finished the master program at St. Mary's (St. Catherines?) for Family therapy (with some longer class name) and has my grandson who will be five the end of this month. So point being that she has not been available to do anything like this for years and wants to go. Sure! A day with another one of my family members - I am in.

DH went to Aitkin. Woot! Woot! I am free and easy for this day and tomorrow.

Another meet today. Changed my events so I do the 300 Hurdles, 4×200, 100 hurdles and high jump so I'm done halfway through the day!

Hitting a deer is definetly freaky hahaha. I felt terrible for the poor thing but couldn't see it anywhere...

Ralphie, I would be ok with a Pollock as long as not a rooster. I am married to someone who is part Pollock and would tell her this chicken and it's weird behavior is typical of Pollocks !!

Bumper crop of cats there Holms.

Beautiful day and time to get projects done.

The rooster has to go! The hen I could live with, she is nuts, but he is plum crazy.
