Surviving Minnesota!

@Holm do you still have that blue/grey EE? It was a roster right?

Do not get rid of it if you do. I have one I am 80% sure is a girl.. I would love to try and get a flock of them. They are so cool looking..

Jerry is that possible? Is that blue dominant or recessive?

I still have the Cockerel. I had a pullet and a Cockerel that looked like that. Sadly the pullet did not make it... So i do have a Cockerel. But he kinda looks a lot like his grandpa Ole.

I am off to Deer Creek today, I need to pick up my potato digger, I am so excited to bring it home, and set in in the front lawn...

Judy is not as excited and does not think it is a good lawn ornament.... The battle begins!:old

We have one of those once. Now my other grandpa has it...

So here I am at work and the DH calls and says we had some sort of animal walking up the drive way but when he went out to get a photo, he tripped, fell and scared it off! He said it was dark brown, about a foot long and had a round flat tail....(this of course differs from my step daughters description... @duluthralphie ..you know how that goes right? multiple witnesses NEVER see the same things! Anyhow (I digress)

So here's to hoping it was a juvenile Beaver and not a Mink or Fisher or something of that nature!!! We do have a large Beaver colony about 3 or 4 miles north of here. Based on their habits, if momma is kicking out her juvenile kiddies to make room for a new brood then it could be possible it was a young Beaver searching for a new home. My DH said it ran off towards the river when he fell. Here's to hoping....
