Surviving Minnesota!

When we went to Nashville a couple years ago we saw "Keith's outfit from one of his concerts...

Did you know he is about 4-2 and 87 pounds?

So skinny and small, I don't think I would have fit in his outfit when I was in the 4th grade.......
Man, he's a midget.

Going to be hot and humid today . 90+ and 105 heat index predicted . In the 70's now . I am so ready for 60 degree mornings . Busy day yesterday . Broody hen covered her chicks last night . I took the nest out . Ralphie get better . You need to come up in the next month sometime .

We were missed by the violent storms. Just some branches and lots of water. Hubby is working in Forest Lake without power, they will be done today when the cordless tools run out of battery life.

Sounds like just north of the Banana Belt and just south of the Banana belt got hammered pretty good.

I got just 1/4 inch of rain last night and 1/4 inch the day before. We have more than adequate moisture and have enjoyed the noise and light shows without any significant storm damage. The big lake seems to have a moderating influence in most of these weather happenings.
Strong winds and a forecast high temp of 61 today. May go surfing on Superior or work outside while cool. The forecast for next week is in the eighty's, and we do not have dry heat here. My chickens do not seem particularly bothered by heat as they just relax in the shade.

This is the 2nd reference I've seen to the "Banana Belt" on this thread. What area do we call the banana belt?

Just got out of our closing for our house sale. Officially homeless until next Tuesday! :p
