Surviving Minnesota!

Fortunately my AC repair was quick and inexpensive.
Related to deer, they are a nuisance and it is humorous to watch one of my wife's little dogs chase them out of the yard. A 15 lb dog chasing deer that weigh from 100 to 200 lbs.
According to the current forecast Thursday looks like a real soaker for many of us.
tfred, the floor in your coop appears to be quite fancy. It will not likely stay looking so good once you have the birds in it.

We've got deer trails all over through our jungle of grass, but haven't seen any yet.

I forgot to mention I finally got a good look at the cats that came with the place. They were staring at my through the bedroom window one morning. LOL! They both looked solid black to me, so I still don't know which one is Mittens!

And we saw what is living in the big hole in one of our sheds. DH thinks a woodchuck. Do they look kinda like a big muskrat with a fluffy tail? Bounce a little when they run? Hunt rodents in the grass and live in a hole?

Deer talk reminds me that my orange cat Barney chased a deer out of the yard once, it was funny to see. The deer was stomping its foot like they do and then it turned and ran with the cat chasing it

Just checking in. No outside work for me this week. I've been painting walls and acquiring beds so my kiddos have a place to sleep. We're going to have someone come out later this week to give an estimate for demolishing our silo that is in dangerous condition. We are also going to get someone looking at our barn, but they want to start with photos, instead of a visit. I'm real nervous, cuz my husband is trying to prep me for if we can't afford to save it. That's not what I want, of course.

I like to see the ones around here roll instead of bounce when the 12ga goes bang.....
