Surviving Minnesota!

It occurs to me that I'm going to need to pick up these 4 pullets and cockerel in WI. I'm looking for suggestions on how to transport them in the back of our suburban without really ticking off DW, that's not pleased they'll be in there....thoughts? Does anyone have crate I can use?

You do know that is illegal without an import permit and testing...

Congrats Mnchickmom!

Since Wednesday it has rained off and on most of the days. Hopefully it keeps doing this so the pastures green up!
Today I am hoping to go look at our neighbors grainery. If I get it and when we bring it to our place the Cochins will be very happy! I let them run around the coop every morning after I let the layers out and sometimes in the evening when most of the layers are in. It will make my life a lot easier in terms of breeding though!
Yesterday I went around looking for Open poultry shows in ND, and then my county. So far I have
Stark/Billings- Last week of June, 4H
Mercer- 1st or 2nd week of July, Open
Red River Valley Fair- 1st or 2nd week of July, Open
State Fair- third week in July, 4H and Open
Adams- First week in August, Open
I still have to contact, Adams and Mercer to make sure they have Open poultry shows.
I am going to contact my county sometime and see if maybe I can get an open show started.

I was bored yesterday and needed a new waterer for my "growout" cage so I made this... So far I really like it... I think I saw this on BYC... Can't remember but it takes up very little space and holds a lot of water.
