Surviving Minnesota!

Chicks are growing . Tried to sex some but it is still iffy . I can spot some cockerels but I know there are more than I see .

On plants I will push the zone . Seems not much real info on some of these . I have 2 black walnuts growing at the lake plus some black raspberries . Survived last winter . Not one of your more severe winters . I will try the Mystery lilies . I know the tiger and day lilies grow there . Day lilies are sometimes called tiger by some but they are 2 different lilies . I should have some ripe fall bearing black raspberries this trip . This was planted in May . The roots should survive and I should get a fall crop every year . The canes may also survive . Time will tell .

Toad tv time. In their new home with the standard 20 pound LP tank for size comparison.

I have 15 adult toads, got 5 toad eggs today. They seem to be getting along right now.

Same situation here, my best PC pullet has a bum leg... let's hope they both recover.

Yes hope they do! What if anything are you doing for yours? I tried feeling the bones but she didn't want me doing that and got away. I didn't want to hurt her further so left her be.

Elise: When your Brahmas start laying eggs...they'll get really acquainted with the Food Lady. LOL. The rooster always checks stuff out for the hens to see if he can do a treat call and romance, but sometimes the girls crash by him if they are laying eggs. Protein/calorie demands get upped.

Ralphie, Thank you for setting down to the computer. Take care of that ticker. And perhaps meeting with Cardio MD's is just what you need to get some stuff back. But keeping busy and strong is also a good thing. I've seen that with Dad. He's pretty strong still, with his PT. But it was because he kept doing things. Just be careful.
Egads...this thread won't run right without ya... ;) :hugs

MNChickMom....more farm adventures.
TFred I love that you are on here...

Jerry...I have never heard of Mystery Lilies. I'll have to google. We have Star Gazers and Tiger lilies that work up here....?

Erli any sign of bumble foot or you think more like a sprain...? Broken toe will make em limp too.
I'm thinking a sprain no bumble foot, hope nothing is broken. Toes look good.
I do have one with a crooked toe that I noticed months ago, she must have broke it way back early spring but she gets along just fine never saw any limping.
