Trust moi, chanties are best. Don't listen to Holm either, he's just jealous that I have some really nice cockerels and he doesn't.

I don't have any Chanticlers but I do have Buckeyes and they are almost as sweet as Ralphies SS. Not quite but almost!

The poultry barn superintendent at our county fair breeds BO's and sells, and leases them to 4h kids, so pretty much everybody show Buff Orps here...

This is another great breed! Although if you have limited space I recommend finding something else... I can fit 8 Silkies in the room a trio of Orps take up. BUT the chances of you finding a more docile, stunning breed are very slim

I do hope to lease/buy some Orp bantams (either white or buff) from him some day. That would be the disadvantage of the Chantys. Unless I get large fowl...

Yep! The 2 main breeds shown here (besides egg-layers) are Orps and Australorps.
