That's exactly what I did with my chicks. Sent the 6 year old out every day to cuddle chickens. Of course he's not smooth enough to catch them now that they free range and it makes him very angry. I keep hand feeding them and grabbing the rooster and making him sit on my lap. He might be planning my demise but the sunflower seeds keep him coming back.

Esther is planning on coming with me to the show. She was pretty adamant about bringing turkeys, but that's a no go, as I'm not going to do the testing for turkeys. Still, she's really looking forward to all bird talk all weekend long.

I'm thinking I will, but she keeps demanding the best looking cream legbar cockerel. I told her that letting her take my best birds defeats the purpose of me going, lol.

She said she won't show Handsome, our best looking blue silver Marans cockerel, but there's a birchen Marans pullet who is the sweetest, cutest thing that I keep suggesting. She really wants to bring turkeys, but they require mycoplasma testing and I'm just not doing it for her to fill up the car with turkey

I wish I could show a turkey... It's too bad they don't have a just for fun class... I would bring Mr. T... Although he isn't the biggest fan of large groups of people... I guess he will just have to stay home.
