Surviving Minnesota!

The cochins, or at least one of them has started to lay again. Sadly not the Blue I took to state. Either way I will be hatching as soon as I check fertility and its good. I need birds for next year, and I was hoping to already have some hatched already. Just my luck I guess.
Hopefully the others follow after this one, it would be nice to set at least 12 eggs.

If the mail people do their job, my entry for hutch will be there. I called the show secretary and explained that the state hasn't got my official paperwork back, and that our state vet and your state vet wanted testing done within 30 days of the show( could be just ours too, mom did all the calls as a favor. She has the degree so she has more swing) he said that I could send proof that testing was done and negative with my entry and I can send the official paperwork when it comes in. Esther is bringing 3 Marans for the junior show. The two Birchen are very good types, but the cockerel isn't well marked. However, splash Marans have random patterns as far as I know, and this pullet also has excellent type, so the splash might do alright.
I'm bringing 7 cream Legbars. 2 cocks, 3cockerels, 2 pullets. Esther is so excited to come see the TURKEYS. She will want to hug all the turkeys who will let her.
