Surviving Minnesota!

The guy DH actually likes, out of that bunch over there. We are the Pitas with our dog. But Sadie -last night and this Am- did not go over to visit them...? And rifle season is when we'll have to really cinch things down. DnL our dog is a deer chaser which in these parts usually equals a dead dog. We were given fair warning last year. But the way he said it, leaves no doubt that neighborly relations would be changed if he 'shot our dog and left on our porch to find'. I realize I talk out of both sides of my mouth on this one. But if their dog trespassed over here on a whoops-- well let's just say that something that would get a pass would no longer. I just don't like the shooting dogs talk about these men when they know the people and kids are involved. Etc...
I'm a vengeful 'B' sometimes. First to admit it.

Rose comb Legbar project . I have a trio of older ones also . Drippy morning out there . Yesterday morning rain total was 1.7 inches .

Some young Buckeyes... I'm gonna have to take the camera out and get some good pics of them... All of my young ones have a good slate bar so far this year ... But the pullets are showing a little too much black... Bit look at those big legs:love

Yesterday I went out to do some chicken cuddling and my Dom Rooster from Ralphie went rogue and flew by my head and out an open door into the yard. Being I don't want to rough his wing feathers up anymore I had to catch him by hand.... That was interesting and exhausting... Then I got shanked in the finger when I grabbeb my Buckeye Rooster wrong... His leg slipped and pulled up part of my finger nail... And he has quite the set of spurs... And he showed no remorse... Little bugger... I think EJB better come and show me the proper way to cuddle a chicken....

Here are his spurs... For only being 1 1/2 years old he has quite the spurs... And HUGE legs...

And as you can see he didn't even look sorry...
