Surviving Minnesota!

I have noticed this trait in your characteristics Erlibird. Just curious - have the neighbors said anything about the fence under construction? If so, tell them plain and simple. The truth matters! My NDN dog keeps visiting me and I hope that this fence will keep him at home. :he

LOL - let me try saying this again. I HAVE NOTICED THE POSITIVE TRAIT IN YOUR CHARACTERISTICS OF LETTING OTHER CHICKENERS SIGN ON FIRST ALTHOUGH WE EACH KNOW YOU ARE UP AND AWAKE AND WAITING TO GREET US AND THE DAY. There! Is that a better way? Definitely more words.

I think removing the single comb and adding color will help

I was looking to keep the larger breast and add some color. To be truthful my son is the one who pointed out the comb benefit. (Yes, I was kinda humbled by being outsmarted by a 10 year old.)

Ohhh and I never meant it to be a secret....just a week or so ago did we put the buckeye in with the toad girls. Egg production is up....but we will see about fertility. Artificial light has not yet been implemented.

Buckeyes will definetly keep the meaty breasts. My Buckeyes legs are bigger than my CX legs lol. I am wishing I would have kept a pullet or two from my CX for this but oh well. I'm just gonna cross my fingers and I hope I have a big boned hen lol
