Surviving Minnesota!

@R2elk this is my version of your waterer... So far it's worked good but we haven't had any issues with frozen waterers for awhile... But we are going to hit -7 next week so we will see how much ice we get...

I predict I will next week. :barnie I am tired of chiseling ice out of the rooster's waterer. So I may bite the bullet and get them a heated dog waterer.....but that means wet cold wattles and knowing my boys they will figure out how to get their combs wet too.
I make sure the boys combs and wattkes are dry before bed and then I put a coating of Vaseline on them and have not had any issues. I switched my feeders and waterers over to those rubber 2 quart black tubs and they don't seem to freeze as bad.
