Surviving Minnesota!

Judy is again upset with me for no apparent reason......What is with her?

I had a short speaking engagement tonight. When I got home I swung out to the pole barn to collect eggs, before they froze solid.

A smart move, correct?

I had three good unbroken, non-frozen eggs.

One from the SS, for eating and 2 for hatching from the PC and the DOM's.

I held the eating egg in my hand, and placed the others in my suit jacket and got back into the car and drove carefully to the house as to not break the eggs.

None broke. When I got in the house and started picking eggs out of my pockets, she went completely Ape poop.....

I need help on this one, I am completely in the dark as to what I did wrong...

Ok Holms, you promised photos once you returned home from Ralphie's. Initially I thought perhaps you had not made it back due to a stop in a ditch ? You did not have your glasses for driving as I recall the statement ?
Now it seems that you have made it back? So where are the photos ?
One of the reasons I have decided to not show birds again is the fact that if you are going to show pullets and cockerels they must be early hatch. There is also much I do not like about the politics within the APA. I have given up membership in the APA and am unlikely to return.

I am forced to agree with you here. I put eggs in my pockets nightly and have only a few incidents each winter of forgotten eggs.

Sounds innocent enough to me :idunno
I mean at least they were in your jacket pocket and not your pants pocket.
My dh leaves all sorts of things in his pants pockets for me to wash . Nails, sheet screws, keys, knives, soap stones, 22 bullets,
Pellets for the pellet gun. Sharpies, ink pens.

Ralphie, over the years I have learned that females think differently than males as relates to many subject areas. I have given up trying to understand and find when I am presented with such a situation the best course of action is to ask for forgiveness and promise not to make that mistake again. This philosophy has I believe resulted in many hours of pleasant nonstressful relations which might have been unpleasant and stressful.

Sorry I am with Judy on this one......Dry Cleaning due egg mess is an avoidable campaign expense. Plus assuming Judy brings the dry cleaning in, she would have to explain your mess...... (There you have it your explanation from a woman's point of view!)

Since when have you been doing my husband's laundry......with the exception of soap sticks I just asked my husband to claim everything on top of the wash machine/dryer a couple days ago. SHARPIES are the WORST.....

I like this philosophy.....as long as you don't have a hand hidden behind your back crossing your fingers as you say, "I will never do it again." :lau:gig

I finally stopped complaining about it and just started keeping all the loose change I find in his pockets. . along with a few bills once in a while. .I call it my laundry money. Last time I rolled it up I had almost 100 dollars! :yesss:
He started emptying his pockets for a while after that But it didn't last. :gig

The larger birds are myJanuary 2nd hatch. Buff boy was going his job. 2females and 9 males....we will be enjoying cockerel soup in a few months. The smaller birds are my 2/11/18 hatch. 25 of 27 hatched and 35 were set. Only 1 buff Orpington, 2 toads, 1 yokahama, a few buckeyes, and a crap ton of Rhode Island reds.
