Thus far the big lake has done a good job. No snow or rain just winds gusting to 50 mph.
Did lose power for about an hour. Good thing I do not have an incubator going.

Well there is no way in Hades I can get to the farm. They shut down the snow plows around here because they can’t keep up and it’s a total white out....

We have a little more than a 1/4 of inch of ice (freezing rain) covered by however much snow it snowed. The doors of the barn were shoveled out then drifted in backyard. The front yard....we will hibernate for another day, or call upon the father in law with the 100+ horse artillery!

The winds are the worst of it, here anyway- maybe elsewhere it's the ice. Or both.
Spring is right around the corner.

I had to put salt on the floor in my barn, the ice has blown about 20 feet into the building.

It looks worse by you than it is here..Of course you are further out in the prairie than I am...BUT give the government and they will get rid of the trees the tree huggers hate so much...
