I haven't been in here in a long time, like since last year. I'm not even going to try to catch up, but going to try joining in again. :) All is well here. I had a late season, as I didn't get my breeds separated until the beginning of June. I have half baked chicks in the incubator now though, so at least we are getting somewhere. I got rabbits this year, so got a little side tracked with those, and my goats. My first goat kids due now. First one had hers, but they didn't make it. Praying for the other two to have a live and healthy kids! :)

Back to chickens, I sold my chocolate Orps the other day. That rooster crowed constantly, he was driving me bonkers. Then all the other roosters crowed back at him, so it was all day long. Ugh. It has been so much quieter since I sold him! He was a nice boy, just annoying! I still have some chocolate hens, and some in the bator, so can put them with my chocolate cuckoos next year if I want. I haven't been selling any chicks or eggs, and I really should, as I am going broke feeding all these chickens! LOL I also have blue laced red Wyandottes, and Calico Cochins. They aren't showable of course, but they are so pretty! :) In my layer pen, I have 6 broodies. I finally gave in and gave them eggs, but don't have much hope any will hatch, as they are always stealing from each other. I don't have the means to separate 6 hens though. :p

Thanks for posting the photos Holms. Looks like you have some nice birds there. You should have a better show in Hutch. this fall without Ralphie to show against ?

Sleepy Owl glad to have your posts. We have been a little light on them lately. It seems as though you have been keeping busy .
