Surviving Minnesota!

How long should it take for the pecking order to be established for my flock now that I've combined? The older girls aren't being overly aggressive, but they're making sure the younger ones don't eat or drink until it's their turn. Also not letting them into the coop at night.
Typical behavior. As long as they aren't drawing blood, pinning them down and pecking mercilessly, and cornering them, I wouldn't interfere. Do you have room for multiple feeders and waterers? How about room for hiding places for the little ones?

They've got room to hide. I didn't think this was anything egregious. Just wasn't sure how long to expect it to last.

So I mowed today . Pulled some garden weeds . Picked my first summer squash . So much to do after my stay at the lake . Raspberries are about done here . Just starting to ripen at the lake . The birds let me get juneberries , wild blueberries and some raspberries at the lake . Usually the birds get most of the berries . Get to shower in soft water now . I think I was starting to rust from well water at the lake .:gig
