I do wonder is our precipitation every day will transfer to winter precip every day. It may be like the U-P around here if it does.

Incubation of shipped eggs is frequently less than ideal.
Many reasons for egg production to be down this time of year. Molt, less hours of daylight, aging hens and even broody hens.
Nice mittens BC. I am sure someone will find good use for them.
This year we are experiencing bad karma. We normally have many nice days of sunshine and blue skies along with crisp fall air. Ideal conditions for hunting or just walking in the woods. This year we have gray skies and precipitation daily it seems. Not fit conditions for man or beast unless you count dux. Ralphie as a member of the political fraternity I believe I should hold you responsible. You have canceled our global warming?

Morning . Another sunny day here . You know I like sunny days . Cool down coming by Friday . Found some useable tomatoes plus the summer squash went crazy while I was gone . Fried some squash last night . No frost here yet . Peak fall colors not here yet but leaves are changing color .

You did pretty good despite the rotten weather Jerry!

Another misty gray day out there.

We are buying alot of tires this month. DH needs them for his truck. DD needs 4 for her Nissan. I need two new front ones for my car. Move the current fronts bought last year to the back. Lots of tires. ugh. Winter months demand good tires.

Chickens are under cover alot. They looked like little wet rats yesterday despite being under the deck most of the day. Poor birdies. We cooked squash last night and They got skins with some squash flesh attached yet.

Just seen a moultrie camera shot from a friend who has a cabin West of Togo Land. 3 Moose. A bull, young bull and cow! all 3 nibbling on the treats left there for the camera. Amazing. I didn't think there were 3 moose left in Minnesota!

No sun here for a week... snowing again today.
I will have some Cochins for sale but I won't be bringing them to hutch if there is no interest.

Here is a tire buying tip . Junkyards ! Can save you some money . Put 3 on the flatbed trailer this year . Around here you can get A,B,C or D . A for about $50.00 and less for the others . Sometimes they have nearly new sets of 4 . More money on those . You do have to get them mounted elsewhere . Call around . I can mount my own but still need them balanced . Yeah you know I am a do it myself type guy .

These summer squash are semi bush . Trying for bush type and zuke type . No boer damage on these . I have 1 zuke bush just pollinated by these . Late started so not sure if seed will mature before frost .

Have a field by the farm that is PACKED with Canadian and snow geese. The snow geese must have shifted their migration pattern because there have been a lot around here this year.

Oooh goose breast . You can split the breast halves to make them thinner . Then run through a hand crank cuber . Makes a great steak . Egg wash and roll in cracker crumbs and fry . Very good .
