Surviving Minnesota!

I hate politicians..... Ooops... I mean I hate winter chickens, but not as much as I hate lying politicians......

The birds are making it their mission to make me feel guilty. They act like I never feed them. I walk out the door, they rush me begging for food. Everywhere I go, they follow. I put a new service box in the "coop" the old one was circa 1950. The birds congregated below my feet. I had to swing my feet and yell at them to not stump on them.

One turkey stayed right there and yelled at me supervising the entire process. I filled all the waterers, ( I have enough outlets to keep them all thawed now)... Filled the feeders, gave them scratch and they still followed me back to the house.

They are all sitting on the deck or the stairs to the deck. I step out, they come running. I threw a not quite ripe enough for me pear out the door, and they rushed it. I am tired of feeling guilty.

I have decided I am not going outside until spring is here....If I have any chickens left by then, I will know they are truly hungry and not just playing mind games with me.

Took the camera out today... Didn’t take pictures of anything but chickens and pigeons but I’m gonna upload them anyways

Oh @ejb3810 do you let your pigeons brood year round? I pulled all my meat boxes to try and discourage my pairs but one pair found a corner and made a nice little nest. Edward Christel (Als son) told me they would be fine in my insulated coop but thought I’d ask you too? I can set them up in a warmer spot if they hatch any out.

At what age do you process them?
