Surviving Minnesota!

Chooks, that Partridge Chantecler rooster is quite a looker.
Holm's, just remember " he who shall, so shall he who", and you can never go wrong.
Ralphie, how goes the battle ? Are you well on the mend or in for a prolonged recovery period ?
I anticipate the weather in the Mn. Banana Belt is on the balmy side ? That will help one feel well in itself.
This Christmas season seems to have many of the female contributors to this thread preoccupied with other activities ?

I am alive but suffering.. read turkey thread for details on my set back...

judy informed me of two bad things in my Chanticler pen... I have an egg eater and a blue egg layer.

I thought I had gotten rid of the egg eater and the blue egg laying Chanticler.... now I have to figure out which one it is...ever since Princess won as a pullet then started laying blue eggs... before deciding she wanted to move to @erlibrd ’s house...I have been extra careful to eliminate the blue egg laying chantuclers. Anyone else want a blue egg laying chanticler?...I assure you it is impossible to tell them from the brown egg laying ones and the pencilling is second to none.... I really do not need to be laid up with this problem to fix....Holms transfer to the Elk River Menards and stay here.. I need your help and expertise.

Btw I am thinking the incident I described in the turkey thread will set my plans of ice fishing this week back a tad... You younger ones should look at me as an example of a reason why you should stop aging now..

Ralphie, based on that narrative in the Turkey thread I wonder if you should trade the turkeys for Mandarin dux ? I believe they would be less likely to act as Kamikazzie projectiles ? They would definitely not be as heavy and thus a less damaging impact would result.

There goes my next three pay checks. Purebred angus heifer. 814lbs. Pretty excited. Will have to get decent pictures when she settles down.
