Morning and a cold one for everyone . Ralphie I think I see a solution to your deer problem . You need to shoot them . A special deer garden should help . Since they like gardens . Something hardy enough.to be alive during firearm season . Rye and rape are 2 that should work or deer clover . Sit on the deck to hunt or inside where it is warm .

They retreat deep into the refuge come deer season, then return right after season to harass me...

They spend the winter playing basketball and practicing high jumps.

It is cold this morning and I was outside assisting someone in an effort to jump start their vehicle. Glad it was not too windy as that would have been the frosting on a bitter cake.
It is fortunate that Jerry was not able to talk the wife in to moving North for this winter. He likely would be deceased and she would be incarcerated.
This has truly been a miserable winter to this point, but better days are ahead just not soon enough.

My theory on the weather app was incorrect this morning. -19 is all it was. I did put in the big red lamp and when I walked in my coop the thermometer said 10 degrees. Still winter hardy without the misery factor.

Warmish water, dry scratch, topped off the feeder. Will be a coop day. No run.

Last night when I was hanging the lamp I found Loretta Lynn my little Barnie next to Sentry. Under his wing. I think I’ve seen her do that before. But they were both sleeping. Big wing drooped all around her. He loves it.

This Is a great dux day.. the little buggars are frozen into the ice so they don’t move... you can skate right up to them with a hockey stick and solve problems one by one...

Good thing she does not have turkeys as that fence would be an open invitation for the turkeys to enter.

Turkeys are pretty harmless in the garden, except when it comes to shiny red tomatoes
