Holm cover your eyes-- and Ralphie I guarantee that nobody else is spoiling your roosters like I am.. So I am trying to get ready this morning and Roostie is just chirping his little heart out and trying to snuggle with James but James is to busy bouncing around so I pick Roostie up and he stops chirping I put him down and he starts back up again. Well I need to get breakfast going and dishes done grandkids will be waking up soon. So I put him on my chest and he snuggled himself in my cleavage,, so I figure ok if he is happy I can get stuff done. So after a bit I tried dipping his beak to get him to drink something and he wasn't happy, so back in the boobs he went.. So I was doing dishes and I took some water and put a couple drops on my skin by his face and he drank it.. ohh Lord I have a breast feeding chicken.. Hope this post wasn't inappropriate if it is it can be deleted because I don't need another warning...

Happy Day to all of you. I am sitting in a Richfield house taking care of my two grand dogs (yellow labs) and missing my chicks and dogs. BUT this is wonderful! They have smart t.v. and Amazon and I love the documentaries. Plus there are streets and streets to walk (so I am a street walker / with dogs) Old stomping grounds and it is sooooooo different. I guess nothing stays still - always moving.

Did a coop clean out today. Trying to stay ahead of the moisture with the warmer temps and the coop thawing out. Of course it is snowing too so that is helpful in my attempt.

Cows still same. I will try to get an updated shot of the undercarriages if I can. They can be so unhelpful when I head out with the camera.

I have to clean the coop this week... Not looking forward to it. Its not that dirty but needs to be done. I hate it cuz I have to crawl on all fours under the giant poop board and shovel it out!!

Highlanders are such cool cows!

I love the way they look, I have no idea what they are like, personality wise. I have never sat down and talked to one. I have talked to many Herefords. They are not bad cow, but can be opinionated once in a while and refuse to do what you want them too.
