Surviving Minnesota!

I am happy the weather is rising above the zero mark... but I am starting to miss the color green...

PS While looking back at photos I found pictures of Teenage Conrad vs Adult Conrad... He has already kissed that tall proud comb goodbye.

I thought we talked about this sock/sandal thing....

@holm25
, are muscovys easy to keep in the winter?

They are SUPER easy. They spend alot of time outside. They are my favorite ducks ofher than my cute Pekins. Theu are definetly more hardy. They don't like water as much as other ducks breeds.

Conrad is SO good looking Klop. I can see why you kept him.

-10 here and warming. Was -14 when I went ot the coop.

Holly my BA is still spry jumping off the roost first before anyone. I'm going to worm her again. But if that doesn't work then I know its a cancer or something. She's just so active yet...it's sort of nuts. She has VetRx in the water and I spread a couple drops of thieves under her wings and on her head. We'll see...

Chickens are in the coop until noon or so or when it goes above zero.

Seems like I haven't been able to get on here enough lately.

Rhetts sounds like if the atmosphere cooperates you'll be a calving this weekend. Sorry about the buff Brahma. The chicken mentality is often hard to figure. And these cold temps and being locked up make them Bat-Sh-- crazy. Sorry for the loss of that neat bird.

Wild Grapes. Mom would send us up popple trees with ice cream buckets and she'd make Wild Grape Jelly too. We have several vines growing down at the dock and I should take advantage of that bounty. Mom still makes it if she can get a grandkid to skimmy up the tree. In fact if they want that delicious jelly for their toast they pretty much have to.

Ralphie, Get well soon. Be careful mixing your Vicodin with your Caffeine. You'll have a bad Maneuver and end up like Elvis did. LOL.

Sorry about your hatching losses Jerryse. Hopefully the rest will pull through to some lovely chicks.

This guy was my second choice and I wish I would has kept him too
