No where near me! I just love the idea of her moving out to the farm and getting animals and all that fun stuff that comes with it!!

Just remember she may not make it. I can give you a future chicken noodle soup to keep her company. ( one of her brothers)

snowing here. a couple inches maybe. Roads though are always terrible here. They don't plow until it is packed down and then they only do one swipe down the middle of the road. Unless you have a yahoo that goes at least 3-4 feet past the super deep ditch that drops off immediately from the road. then you get to guess where abouts the road might be. no way of knowing for sure until it is too late. Why oh why can't they just plow right away, toss some salt or sand down and let us have somewhat of safe roads??!! Too much to ask??

What is the dome part of the mama house made from? The heat pad is under it right?

I think i may start tomato and pepper seeds this week for the garden. Average last frost here is the first 2 weeks of May and i am thinking of starting my seeds 10 weeks ahead or so. I want really healthy, large starts as none of my smaller starts survived last year.

plus if we do end up with an early spring, i want to be ready!

Yep. On this one it is just three layers of 1/2 hardware cloth bent into an arch.

I use crafting (4") cable ties to tie the heating pad to the bottom of the wire. Then I put press n Seal on the whole thing to keep the poop off the heating pad. When you look at the dome that bottom thin layer is the press and seal. On the next one I build I wrapped the press and seal around the edge so that does not droop as much.
