Surviving Minnesota!

Orange tractors are ok, I would love to have an old Allis.  It is the green ones I am allergic too.  (if they are over 3 ft tall.)  My Grandpa had a  B,C and WD For the little I do here a B or C would be perfect,  I just want to find a real cheap one in excellent condition. So far I can find one or the other but not both.

I would love to find/gather a while set of Allis hay making equipment. Sickle mower, conditioner, rake, square baler (would probably forego the root baler they did)

I am not fussy what the machinery is. I really do not need much. I would like a small plow, disc, packer, manure spreader and seeder. But the make does not matter.

However, I am going to be losing field acreage as I build a new series of covered runs this year.

My Moms dad farmed AC, my dads mom farmed Case, most of my dads siblings work for Cat, and my dad works for a company that deals heavily with Cat and Deere.... So there is that....
Really I would probably use anything that isn't some import knockoff.

One thing I am excited for that this tractor will help me with is that the place I was intending to pasture the pigs. It is old and over grown dairy pasture (40 years ago)
I will burn it off them can keep it mowed down and that will give at least one whole acre more for my flock and broilers to range

Good Afternoon. I am bored. And no one is posting and so I am doubly bored. Back to quickbooks. Boring.

I think we are more of a fall and winter group. This time of year comes and we get busy.

I don't think we have even made the top 10 list in a while.

I just moved my last batch of chicks to there last cage before going outdoors. I am trying to decide if I should put Igor and her 3 friends in with them. Judy does not want me too, I think she has fell in love with Igor. I caught her holding and petting Igor last night.

I have a few hours to decide. I am leaning towards her going into the soon to be outside birds cage..

thanks for the post Ralphie! Hey, I do not believe that SC will ever be in a flock because they will do away with her. So if Igor could make it with a flock mate(s) good for her. How is her wry neck coming along? I am concerned about SC inability to straighten her 'toes.' I am going to look on-line when I leave just after leaving this post. Any thoughts from anyone would be great.

The roto baler has got to be the coolest thing Allis made.....my father in law got his working last summer. I will see if I can dig up a picture or movie clip of it in action. You may have to forgo the green in front as we bleed green!
