Surviving Minnesota!

I was going to talk to him about Cochins last spring but never did. If I get into the Buckeyes I eill talk to him and add some of his birds to my flock. OR I will just get them from Minnie who is about the same distance away... Actually him and Minnie are not far from each other.

Went to the sale barn yesterday . Bought a pair of bantam EE . Hen is a silver with blue or lavender dilution . Just could not resist . Male appears light brown .

Got a shipped notice on my root stocks . Apricot tree in bloom . Started up my low pressure water system . More work needed but some of it is working .

Good morning and happy Easter everyone! having coffee and watching my chickens chase worms after a soft rain over night. The birds are singing, too! not exactly a nice spring morning as it is wet and grey, but boy is the grass greening up and the trees are budding! spring is surely here!

Happy Easter to each of you for what that means to you. We have some family coming for our ribs and cheesy potato dinner. Went to church. Just finishing clean up in the kitchen and took a break to check on you all.

Just thinking - a year ago, March 23rd, I just began my chicken journey with six chicks in the brooder. What a difference a year makes.

Many blessings to each one of you and your dear ones.

Picked up this pair of EE bantams at the sale barn Friday . Both have blue . Hen has slate legs . I may try her with a silver Ameraucana bantam male to start blue silver . I just could not resist .

I notice how they don't like walking on wire, must be difficult on their feet.
