Surviving Minnesota!

It's a rainy day in Minnesota...isn't it? And the study hall teachers in NoDak have zero radar for kids on phones. LOL.

Just to be safety safe. Ralph had one teenager remove their age...but I think another put down their hometown. I think to be safe we should have that edited out too. I think we are all normal people on here and I don't want to be too bossy with our newbies, as I feel like I've already been bossy with somebody else...but you never know who reads these threads on the sly and are very manipulative with kids and people in general. There's weirdos out there kids...so be careful and go back and cover your tracks a bit.

Ralphie it's the weather today. My hip is aching, and did last night ...lack of sleep. Foggy head. I'm not even ancient.

Kloppers I feel your pain on trying to keep up with this thread.

My coworker asked me if my iPhone was having a seizure at 11or so when it was coming in by the second.

Someone on instagram just got angry at me because someone asked what I do with my older hens and I told them I butchered them

I'm sorry that happened. Sometimes deleting or blocking people on social media is the best thing to do.
There's a lot of hypocrisy out there with some folks. You can almost be certain that person buys the frankenchicken breasts at the grocery store. And the fact that you gave those hens good lives while they were productive on your farm is much to be proud of. Some people don't want to hear about economics of it all though. And that is their choice. I just wish they knew when to throw on a filter.

I respect those that hang on to old hens (because I'm doing it right now) :) But I know deep down I need to take the last step with those hens. And if they have any sense they'd realize those steps on a working farm, are nothing to be bashed.

I used to like golf. Then I golfed with my husband who gave me constant direction. He was put on a hit list that day. Then I had babies and found no time or budget for it.

Now the in-laws have DS and DD set up with clubs. DS has joined the School team. First practice tonight. He's pumped. Maybe I can sneak some beer into the gallery when I go to watch him play.

That is why and what they make those backpack flasks for...

I am not looking forward to this fall... I need to replace bubba the big Australorp Welsummer cross roo and find a rooster with a blue or green egg gene. Which I am sure Ralph will have some... And then I have to decide whoch hens to cull and what to replace them with... Life is full of to many decisions....
