Well I guess I am not the only one on this site who is a teenager:yesss: :highfive: :yesss:

Me too!

Oh I am sure that is not true... Just wait to the real boys start coming around  your home, and your Dad takes a real interest in cleaning his guns....

My daughter told me recently she did not have many dates In High School because the boys were all afraid of me. She said between my size and the Maroon Car I drove everyday and the little gun I carried they would rather just meet her someplace than actually date her...

I feel I did my job correctly as a Father....

Most of my freinds are scared of my dad, even tho he's really nice

Ralphie, too bad you didn't get any whites in your last hatch. How many pullets vs roosters? Is Sven Ole's progeny, and the EE rooster you are using this season?

I was using Sven who is Ole's son and Chauncy who is Ole's son. Chauncy was the offspring of a Creamette and Ole. The creamette got out of the pen for an hour and Ole had her. As you know he did not let any grass grow under his feet...

I now only have Sven, I actually think most of my EE chicks are Sven's as he is larger and a little more pushy than Chauncy. I have seen Chauncy try to mount a hen, but Sven seems to put a stop to it.

If I decide I want more EE 's I will put a couple of my favorite hens in a breeding coop with Sven. I am going to stop hatching BA's I think I have enough of them. No one seems to want any of them. I am going to keep trying to get PC's I will try all summer if I need too. I am thinking of changing to Game bird Breeder feed for Ed and his girls. I checked this morning on a few of Ed's eggs set to hatch on the 6th. Most were clear. I saw one that looks good but that is one of the EE's I have him with. Of course, all the time the PC girls are spending being broody is not helping me! I keep wondering what I am doing wrong to get them to go broody. They are the only chickens I have had go broody this year. Which is weird.

The turkey hens are a different story, when they are laying eggs they seem to be about 1/2 broody. I am bringing Coffee three this afternoon. I hope she knows what she is getting into with Broody turkey hens. They can be a handful to handle and I have not found a way to break them yet. The best thing to do is give them some fertile chicken eggs, let them hatch and take the chicks away in a day or two ( which is risking life and limb) and let them think the chicks died. Then they start laying again. Otherwise they are brutal. Sort of like a bad tempered goose!
