Surviving Minnesota!

Sun is shining here, Expected to get into the low 90's today. I hate when it gets this hot.

But as much as I know you guys hate reading this, it is the banana belt here.......

Ok, it really is a nice looking morning but it is cold outside.it is 30 degrees. We got a little bit of rain the last few days in light showers but not much.

I have decided SS are spoiled by nature, they hatch that way. Last night we were watching TV and one of the SS hatchlings was crying. She was looking out of the cage making a huge ruckus. Judy told me to "do something about your bird!".

I tried pushing it under the heating pad and it just popped back out and screamed more. Finally, I took it out of the cage and held it on my chest with my hand around it's back side to keep it there. It settled right down and shut up with little chirps of contentment. We both think it just wanted to be held. It has never been held before, it does not know what people are, it was an egg until 2 days ago. I promise you I do not hold my eggs and talk to them!

After sitting on me for about 45 minutes. I slipped it under the heating pad cave and it went to sleep without another complaint.

I really have no idea what it wanted. If it thinks it is going to get held ever night for the rest of it's life it is in for a huge disappointment. This time next week it will be outside living in a stock tank where no one will ever hear it!

BC is it snowing there?

It really is sunny and a beautiful day here..

BTW I like the picture with the log on the blue plastic tarp. it makes you seem more human and less anal.

Did you take your OCD meds today?

Busy night tonight playing in the dirt! I just about have all of my plugs transplanted into bigger pots. I have all kinds of repurposed pots that i have saved over time, found around my farm, and also some washed/used solo cups! I have about 30 more tomatoes then they are done. Peppers are still quite small and will need more time before transplant

Also some update photos from my chicks! They are starting to grow 'shoulder feathers' and got upgraded to the 'Big Girl Feeders' tonight :p

LOVE the pictures. Thank you for using the RED solo cups for the plants - LOL. I would buy those in a NY Minutes just because they are in red solo cups.
