I want a stand like that!

Only if the deer come by there!

I'm planning to put out some salt licks and things back in my scrub to try and keep the deer back there. I would like to try and bag one this fall. I would be sitting on ground level though I think. I don't have any trees to climb back there

Viv must be approaching four. My three and a half grandson is beginning the stories and they are hilarious. The best is when they challenge you with 'your not the boss of me.' my response: I am when Mom and Dad are gone. They usually do not challenge that. Little cuties.

She is 4, turns 5 in August. They are sweeties,, most the time.

Ralphie, you can get the water cups from Siegel Pigeon Supply. I do not have a problem with winter freeze up, as I switch from water to vodka as a beverage source for them when it gets below freezing. You must be careful that consumption does not go up, as it can be hazardous to their health. Not really!!

That deer stand is a bit much for my taste, as it would be too difficult to get back in the hinterlands where I prefer to hunt. When I go deer hunting I like it to be where I do not see any other hunters.

ROFLMAO!! You almost got me with this one! I was thinking WTHockeysticks??? I have put vodka in the water but not much I read somewhere, probably here it helps with worms, BUT I hate to waste vodka on birds....

I wonder if there is a bar in that deer stand serving Shirley Temples and Kiddie Cocktails for you Holm...or OJ/7ups? That's right that's your cocktail. With a little slice of orange on the side no doubt.

I have chickens free ranging on white stuff in the great white tundra that is my home. The lake is out. It is time to start spring people. Who didn't get the memo?
What a Godforsaken state. Sometimes. I swear.

I guess it helps keep out the riff-raff.

So lately I've thought that my hens were lacking in egg production, so when i went to go put them in last night I counted all my egg layers under 2 years. This is what I counted
13 brown egg layers
4 green egg layers(I have 5, but one of them just got over Mareks so she's still recovering)
4 white egg layers

That's about 21 hens, then you add in my 4 older hens, and 3 silkies.
And that's 28 hens, and lately I have been getting 22+ eggs everyday. So they aren't slacking
