We make soap every year at Rollag aka Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion. Do any of u fellow BYCers go to that??

Well, i spent an hour drilling holes for the new deadbolts, installed 1 new knob and 2 new deadbolts. The idea is that we would have 1 key to open all our locks, so i got the programable Kwikset deadbolts. Well i mucked one up programming it and then spent over an hour watching youtubes on how to reset it manually without ordering a special tool from the company. I guess i can add 'hackjob lockpicker' to my resume haha

the good news is that it is all done now and we things look good. DW is making a chicken alfredo lasagna for lunch then i will go out and get the corn grinder finished up. Still brisk here but at least the sun is shining! still quite windy though

Saponification is the chemical conversion of oils with lye. Soap is "raw" and unusable for two days. Then cut bars cure for 6 weeks hardening and dehydrating to give it longevity in the shower or tub. It has glycerin ( unlike commercial soaps-- glycerin is removed and sold) which keeps the skin in great condition.

Had them for several years . Evil creatures . No fence can hold them . Got rid of them 20 + years ago . If I ever get them again I would get the fainting ones . You can catch those .

I'm leaning towards donkeys. But I have to wait until the farm is completely mine.

I started buying the smartkey Kwikset . Not sure if the offer it in deadbolt .

The local big box hardware store sells knobs, deadbolts, and lock sets in smart key. I use them on my rental house too. They work great as long as you take your time and do the re-key correctly
