I think his mother works down here at Farm and Fleet . They need the book to look up everything . Whatever happened to the belt measuring device ? I found the belt I needed after checking with the woods mower dealer . They wanted like $120.00 . I remembered the length and width . Stopped at Napa a few blocks away and ordered it for like $35.00 .Nothing like a trip to the local auto parts store to increase the condescension levels in my life. I needed a new belt for my belly mower in the AC. It is a standard v belt 7/8"x172" nothing complicated. The kid behind the counter is rolling his eyes and scoffing because 'how am I supposed to know what belt it is if you don't know the part number"
I don't even know what kind of mower it is, it is green and probably older than I am. And the belt had no printing on it. I finally just walked out. I can order the dumb thing on line and be done with it.
People.... AMIRIGHT!!!
My Dad's Truck is a 1999, and it has over 275,000 miles on it and still runningI am probably a equipment dealers worst nightmare . I buy stuff to work . It better be up to the task you built it for . So much is built to sell but not to do the job . I have stuck a bulldozer a few times . Know how to get em out too . My grandson just shakes his head . He says I get more work out of my pickup than anybody he knows . I tell him if I didn't have a need for it I would not have bought it .

Please tell me you didn't order part #14 the Lever Bolt. We replace that with a little bolt and nut.The last thing I needed from "Steven" was a part for my woodford hydrant. The threads on the hose end had stripped. This "Steven" works at Menard's. I was told when I asked about the part to talk to "Steven" He knows everything about plumbing. If he can't find it, it doesn't exist.
I spent 20 minutes with "Steven" he finally said, the only parts you can get are the O-rings and we carry them. There is no place to get them, you need to just buy a whole new one....I got home and in 3 minutes I found this:
